About the Author

Patrick Dague started off as a real estate agent and quickly got his broker's license. He was a top producer successfully selling homes when he found a real estate opportunity that required investor money. He managed to find the investors to fund that first project, but he realized at the same time there was a lot he just didn't know.

A friend working for a major New York investment brokerage firm suggested he apply for an interview and learn from them. He was hired, got trained in New York City on Wall Street, and learned how to sell all kinds of investments, including real estate private investment offerings.

As a result of his initial and subsequent training he became a registered investment adviser, financial planner and stockbroker.

Patrick helped that New York firm raise tens of millions of dollars for various private business and real estate investment opportunities. He then left that company and joined a smaller investment securities firm where he primarily specialized in raising private capital for small and medium sized real estate ventures.

After gaining experience there he opened a new branch office for that company and served as the branch manager, before also resigning from that firm in order to fund and operate his own ventures.For over twenty years, since resigning as an investment broker, Patrick has successfully raised millions of dollars in private capital for his own real estate deals. He also founded a small real estate company which grew to seven offices and over fifty agents who were working directly under his broker's license. That firm was eventually sold. It became part of a national franchise under the new owners and he moved on to commercial real estate ventures.

For a period of time he was in charge of private capital offerings and acquisitions for a respected Southern California commercial brokerage firm, then went out on his own again to raise capital for his own ventures, which included real estate, a substantial portfolio of real estate secured promissory notes, foreclosure acquisitions purchased for repair and resale, and more.

Patrick also has experience successfully coaching others on how to raise private capital for their own real estate ventures.

He holds undergraduate degrees in Aviation Science and Business Management. His graduate work was in International Business. He is currently active in certain types of charitable work, including donating time and funds to a charitable project to assist mentally challenged and homeless people.
